overviewThe Bakerview Housing Co-operative property was acquired by Community Land Trust in 2017, and CLT immediately invested $5.5 million to undertake extensive renovations of the co-op’s buildings.
The buildings were in their original 1981 condition when CLT began upgrades which included new building envelopes, fencing, windows, doors, elevator, interior common spaces, partial roof replacement and some unit renovations.
Bakerview offers 94 pet-friendly apartments and townhouses in one-, two- and three-bedrooms, and is close to transit, Abbotsford Arts Centre, schools, the regional library and parks and playing fields. All apartments have a balcony or patio, and all townhomes have fenced-in yards. Other amenities include common laundry and secure parking for apartments. Townhouses offer covered carports and storage, laundry hook-ups, and common laundry outside an amenity building that also includes a common kitchen, and a site office.
